Dr Marietjie van der Merwe launched the Khayalethu Child and Youth Care Centre’s 42 K Buddy Up Marathon on Kingfisher FM on 1 September 2021. The first of this series of fund raising events took place on Sunday, 5 September, when members of the BNI Sosebenza Business Networking Group, their friends and family, buddied up with a Khayalethu boy to run (or walk) 3 km of the 42 km marathon to raise funds for playground equipment.
